 I was always having trouble making my base the right size for width but since I finally managed to figure out how to do the foundation row start it's a lot easier since it doesn't stretch out like a chain does. I made the "Cosy Stripe" blanket from [[https://attic24.typepad.com/weblog/cosy-stripe-blanket.html|Attic24]] when I was still having trouble so where it was originally meant for the stripes to go horizontally I sent them vertically instead.
