I enjoy making blankets in rows--that is until they get so big they refuse to be anywhere but on me--but even when I make them in blocks they ultimately get that way. Anyway, a couple of my rowed attempts follow. The Irish Wave is beautiful. It's also very easy to make. This was a stash buster trying to use up some odd skeins of yarn and it succeeded. In the end I called it the candy almond blanket for those candy-coated almonds that the theaters like to sell. I made the "Cosy Stripe" blanket from [[https://attic24.typepad.com/weblog/cosy-stripe-blanket.html|Attic24]] when I was still having trouble so where it was originally meant for the stripes to go horizontally I sent them vertically instead. And decided to add a fringe. {{ :cosystripe1a.jpg?nolink |}} {{ :cosystripe1b.jpg?nolink |}}
